The Challenge
Health information can often feel overwhelming, fragmented, and difficult to navigate. The challenge was to create an experience that makes important information easier to understand while helping users quickly find the support and resources they need.
Overview
LungCare was designed to support people looking for reliable lung-health information and easier access to care. The platform brings educational resources, professional consultation, community support, and local services together in one accessible experience.

Problem
Lung cancer patients can face barriers to timely treatment, reliable information, local resources, and emotional support—especially when financial limitations are involved.
Goal
Create a user-centered mobile experience that makes information, affordable treatment options, community support, and local resources easier to access.
Solution
LungCare brings medical information, affordable treatment resources, community support, and local services together in one accessible mobile platform.
USER PERSONA
To keep the design grounded in a realistic user context, I created Maria Rodriguez, a 50-year-old lung cancer patient living in North York, Toronto, who faces financial and accessibility barriers when seeking treatment and reliable health information.
USER FLOW
The user flow maps the key paths through LungCare, helping structure how users access information, support, resources, and core app features.
USER JOURNEY
The journey map highlights Maria’s experience across key stages of using LungCare, from seeking information and community support to exploring treatment options and managing her health needs.
FINAL UI
The final interface brings together accessible health information, community support, emotional well-being resources, and online consultation in a clear and approachable mobile experience.
OUTCOME & REFLECTION
LungCare brought together health information, community support, local resources, and digital consultation into one user-centered experience. The project helped me strengthen my skills in research-driven design, information architecture, user flows, and creating interfaces for a sensitive healthcare context.
